A Thoughtful Blend of Comfort and ValueDuring my recent stay in this charming hotel located in Okurcalar, I found myself pondering the balance between luxury and value. Opting for the premium room with a view, I appreciated the comfortable bed and the sizeable bathroom. The small swim-up pool, while a nice touch, fell short on hygiene, causing me to forgo a swim. The hotel provided a commendable service with daily housekeeping, although fresh towels were only available every second day. Dining options included a consistent à la carte menu, with notably delicious salmon and steak that showcased the kitchen's capabilities. The location, with direct beach access and a well-maintained dock area, proved delightful. The ambience remained tranquil, thanks to the limited number of rooms, allowing for a relaxing escape. Although the decor appeared somewhat worn-particularly the peeling wallpaper and signs of dampness-the attentive staff, especially Hamza and Berat, made our experience enjoyable. While there are areas for improvement, this establishment strikes a reasonable compromise between comfort and cost, making for a thoughtful choice for travelers seeking history and hospitality in beautiful Turkey.
